David Cross at The Orpheum Theater

Actor/Comedian David Cross took the stage at the storied Orpheum Theater this week.

I have to be honest, in the past, I’ve seen a handful of sketch and improv comedy shows around town, but had yet to see a true standup comedy show. Until last night.  I had become aware of David Cross in his brilliant portrayal of Tobias Fünke, on one of the most underrated cult TV classics, Arrested Development. Because of that show, I went back and watched another Cross classic Mr. Show, and was mesmerized again. So, with that said, I couldn’t miss his”Making America Great Again!” show here in Nola on Monday night.

Thinking I would not be able to control my ADHD for more than an hour or so and stay sill for a whole show, I ended being super entertained by his really smart, hilarious, and irony filled set.  I will say it’s kinda hard writing a feature on a comedy show without giving away the storylines. Suffice it to say, I laughed my ass as off, along with the rest of the folks in the packed Orpheum Theater.

David will be unleashing his show on Texas in the next few days. It would totally behoove you to jump in your car, stop and pick up some red bull and cheetos, and take a road trip to see this show!
